Public Policy Campaign to Enable a Solution to Operation Stack M20

Dr Rehan ul-Haq led a strategic infrastructure alliance to enable a solution to Operation Stack M20, submitting direct written and in person invited evidence to the 26 Public Examination and Consultations including being invited to discuss Operation Stack M20 with HM Treasury: Strategic Reform / Infrastructure UK (2013).

Dr Rehan’s public policy campaign contributed to UK HM Treasury allocating STG 250 million, in 2015, to the Department of Transport to fund a solution to Operation Stack M20. A M20 motorway logistics park containing 1,700 spaces was delivered at Junction 10 / 10A, M20 to mitigate the damage caused by Stack events on the M20 (32 days in 2015) and to smooth ongoing person and freight logistics flows.
